Popular Gqom Duo accused of stealing

The Durban based popular gqom sensation duo, Sabelo Mkhize (Bello), and Zakhele Mthethwa, (Gallo) of the smash hit song ‘khula’ have been called out of stealing.

This is coming after another musicians, the Elevators and Niseni revealed that the duo is reaping from their hardwork.

It was reported that the duo stole their popular hit song from another group of unpopular musicians.

The Elevators, which includes of Nkululeko Ngcobo and Sphamandla Shongwe, have formally written a letter to a collecting society, conveying their outrage and asking for any royalties paid towards Bello no Gallo to be halted until the matter is finally resolved.
The Elevators believes that Bello no Gallo are benefiting from their hard-work that they poured their hearts and souls in it.
The Elevators are also planning on taking the legal route if the matter is not speedily resolved.

In a letter by The Elevators and Niseni’s representative, Vusi Leeuw Consulting, the request is that the South African Music Performance Rights Organization (Samphra) should halt any royalties to be paid to Open Mic, Ziyenzeka Entertainment record labels and Bello no Gallo.

The letter further request to refrain from making distribution of the owner’s share of needle-time revenue to Open Mic and Ziyenzeka record labels pending the outcome of the issues raised.
