SA stars who are students

Celebrities are changing the stories and general beliefs that most of them don’t graduate formal school.


Within the past few years we’ve had South African stars who announced graduating school.

The school saga has gotten more interesting as some legends, OGs and stars in the industry who are known as graduates returned to school to seek more knowledge.

This impressive move isn’t just to applaud them but to also teach the fast rising and upcoming stars that graduating is key.

Below are five South African stars who have returned to school as students:

KHULI CHANA

In May 2021, the rapper announced returning to school after 10 years, and he thanked his wife, Lamiez Holworthy for her encouragement.

IM BACK TO SCHOOL!! after 10+ years! #Buyile is deeper than a song to me, i’m repositioning re-writing history, recreating myself! It’s not easy but I’m determined TO WIN!! Thank you Wame @LamiezHolworthy for the encouragement,” he wrote.

OSKIDO 

The legend announced his return to school in February 2022 for a 5 month course.

” I have enrolled at University of Pretoria for a 5 month Project Management Programme. That’s 8am to 5pm, 1 week per month. Believers let’s keep growing & empowering ourselves,” he said.

DJ CLEO 

The DJ returns to school to garner more knowledge, and it was revealed by Prince Kaybee last year that the DJ attends University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), Johannesburg.

AYANDA THABETHE

The TV personality excitedly announced securing her third degree, which is in marketing last year, at Henley Business School in SA. Though she’s not revealed if she’s through with school, but she recently unveiled her baby bump.

LERATO MVELASE

The actress opened up about her formal education, and how it took her 10 years to complete a course of 4 years. She further revealed that she will be returning to school this year.

“I have another goal ahead of me in 2022 with @regenesysbusinessschool #awakeningpotential and a year is all I got to achieve this vision, I’ll be sitting with those same little faces (not so little anymore)at the same table while they study and I’m studying towards my Post Graduate Diploma In Business Management and that feels so good,” she wrote.
