Khanyi Mbau addresses viewers who are disappointed at the delivery of the Showmax series, The Wife, season 2.
The TV drama is highly profiled as it was adapted from a book Hlomu: The Wife, and people expected that actors will deliver more.
However, season 2 has brought more disappointment rather than praises and Khanyi has taken to Twitter to apologise and giver her explanation as one of the cast.
“We have let you down , WE HAVE NOT GIVEN YOU WHAT U HAD ANTICIPATED! a love story between Zandile and Nkosana. That’s what we all hoped to experience,” she kicked off her address.
The actress said she’s also disappointed as she expected an African version of Fifty Shades of Grey in stead they served crime et al.
“Season is be had all the romance a wife should experience with her better half and we watched them develop into a married couple and it gave us all the feels. But season two didn’t give us enough love, and companionship from Zandile and Nkosana and that’s why u are all so disappointed, I am too.”
