Katlego Maboe speaks on fatherhood ahead of Father’s Day.
In his note, the TV personality spoke about how he had a conversation with other fathers about the care given to their children.
He also revealed that he got spoiled ahead of the special day and he’s grateful to the people who surprised him.
“Recently had a chance to meet up with a small group of incredible dads and we exchanged stories of our journey in fatherhood. Among the nappy changing, burping, bicycle riding and everything in between, most significant in those conversations was the shared feeling that, no matter what background we individually came from, especially with some of us growing up without our own fathers, we shared a common and profound love for our children – wanting to be there for them every step of the way,” he wrote.
“We want to love them. We want to teach them and protect them. It’s amazing the things you discover once you sit down and have a real heart to heart with others. I walked away feeling inspired to continue giving my best to my little one in everything I do in the hopes that one day he will know that he means everything to me. With Father’s Day coming up – I hope that you will have an opportunity to have a real heart to heart with your father, whether on earth or in heaven, and tell him how much he has meant to you.”
