Actress Elsie Rasalanavho who is 71-year-old reportedly collapsed after being axed out of Muvhango.
Elsie played the role of Mukondeleli on the soapies, though she died as a cast after 25 years of being a cast member.
According to Daily Sun, the star isn’t happy leaving the show as she didn’t see being sacked coming.
The source who reported the case to the aforementioned publication said she collapsed and was admitted to the hospital after she was told her contract will not be renewed.
“It was such a shock that after 25 years of being on the show, she was dropped,” says the unidentified source.
The 71-year-old said she didn’t know what she did to the production team that would have triggered them to make such a hurtful decision about her.
“… she gave it her all, and they treated her badly.”
Another source said the actress initially wanted to leave as her exit will benefit the show greatly.
However, the production company claimed to have let go of some of the cast members in other to spice up the show with new and young actors, in other to save the future of the show.
