These 3 WORDS are killing your relationship

Relationships are very delicate. A few misunderstandings can be the root of all problems.

Unknowingly, you say things to your partner that really hurt them. You may not realise it, but what you say holds a lot of power.

Words like ‘OKAY, FINE, GOOD’ indirectly sets a negative tone in the relationship. For example, if you simply say, “I am okay” or “I am fine”, it is going to slowly kill your relationship.

Let’s understand how these words are impacting your relationship.

1. Where will the conversation go?

When you say words like okay, fine, good, you aren’t leaving any scope for the conversation to grow. These general words immediately stop your partner from having a conversation with you, because beginning with, there’s nothing to talk about.

2. Are you really fine?

When you say words like these, it’s an indication that you aren’t really fine. You may be angry or frustrated with your partner or yourself, and this causes you to distance yourself from them, by saying such things. Sharing your feelings with your partner is very essential because unless you do that, you aren’t going to clear out any misunderstanding that has been hoarding your relationship so far.

3. Are you allowing bad communication habits?

Communication is a very integral part of a relationship. When you approach a situation with your partner by saying this, you are incorporating bad communication habits into your relationship. Your partner may be genuinely interested to know about you, but your dismissing them slowly leads the relationship to doom.
