Unathi had a swell experience over the weekend as she met with the Queen Mother Ntombi – Indlovukazi of The Kingdom Of Swaziland.
The radio presenter shared photos of herself with the queen mother and captioned it with a note explaining all she encountered at the royal event.
“I had the honour and privilege of being allowed an audience with her majesty Queen Mother this weekend. An experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. A moment of beauty, grace, honour and dignity, wrapped in a blanket of tender love and a deep knowledge of who we are as a Nguni, Bantu people. A ceremony she held and lead in honour of her granddaughter Princess Temaswati as the matriarch of the Swati Kingdom,” she kicked off her note.
Explaining further the purpose of the event, Unathi said,
“Queen Inkhosikati LaNgangaza (mother of the bride to be) took over at her family’s homestead and continued to usher us through a tradition of events so intimate and beautiful I was in awe at every turn of events until we left at the early hours of the next morning.”
The star testified to having much fun as she danced and also learnt a lot of things.
“I have been told that very few people get to be invited to witness such an intimate part of Swati culture and I receive that. The magic and pure beauty of two families coming together in the name of love will live in me forever.”
