How to use olive oil to get glowing skin

For instance, regular vegetable oil has been replaced with olive oil, that is highly nutritive. If you are not aware, this oil is not just good for your body but skin as well.

Benefits of olive oil

Olive oil is a natural moisturizer that contains essential fatty acids and helps hydrate the skin and improves the elasticity of the skin. The rich antioxidants help protect the skin from free radicals that further slows down the process of skin ageing. It is also a natural cure for blackheads and whiteheads that absorbs all impurities.

1. Olive oil and lemon juice

Mix 1 tablespoon lemon juice well in 1 tablespoon olive oil. Rest it for 5 minutes. Apply this concoction all over the face and massage for 3-4 minutes. Leave it for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Try this trick 2-4 times a week for effective results.

2. Olive oil and honey

Mix 1 tablespoon olive oil, honey and 1 egg yolk. Mix well. Apply this mixture on your face and neck. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes and wash with warm water. This will help increase skin’s elasticity, smoothness, hydration and natural glow.

3. Olive oil and turmeric

For this, you need to mix 1 tablespoon olive oil, ½ teaspoon turmeric powder and 2 tablespoons curd. Apply the pack on your face and neck area. Allow it to rest for 15 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. The combination of curd and turmeric not only conditions the facial skin but also lightens the lactic acid content.

4. Extra virgin olive oil

Apply extra virgin olive oil on the facial area using your fingertips for 5 minutes. Next, dip the face cloth in hot water. Press and hold the cloth against your face and gently wipe off the oil. Use this trick every day before going to bed and see the difference in a month.

5. Olive oil and castor oil

First of all, mix 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon castor oil and a few drops of tea tree oil. Mix all the ingredients well and gently massage your face for 2-3 minutes. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes and wash with warm water. The combination will make your facial skin soft, supple and glowing.
