Musa Keys slapped with R700 000 lawsuit

Musa Keys has been slapped with R700 00 lawsuit over an alleged breach of contract.


According to Sunday World, a Joburg-based record label named Electromode filed its papers at the Joburg High Court last week, requesting that the Amapiano singer gets forced to pay the aforementioned amount.

Musa Keys whose real name is Musa Appreciate Makamu has reportedly terminated a contract with Electromode, hence he’s been demanded to pay as he signed an exclusive digital distribution agreement with the company on April 4 2021 to distribute his songs and cinematographic through the internet, mobile and telecommunications companies.

The contract which ought to last for 36 months entails that Electromode will solely distribute and have exclusive right to distribute his content and to make it available globally.

If he’s to end the contract, then he ought to give 30 days prior notice, and he’s expected to pay all his dues to the company before terminating the contract.

However, Musa was said to have terminated the contract on the 3rd of May through an agent and he’s failed to meet up with the demands.
