Msaki has taken to her social media to reveal that she is taking a break from music.
The star stated that she needs time for herself and that she needs to take a break from so many things.
Msaki has poured her heart out on Twitter almost two weeks after being embroiled in a bombshell cheating scandal with Massive Music presenter Smash Afrika.
But, in her tweets on Friday 25 November, the star was not addressing the cheating claims instead she was saying her goodbyes to her fans and sharing how the negativity and distortion of the truth have affected her.
The Ubomi Abumanga hitmaker still maintained that she will not be defending herself from any claims, saying being in the limelight has made her a “victim to a violation of the privacy of a complete twisting of the truth”.
“I hold words in such high regard because I believe in their ability to heal, edify, and encourage. Places that use words to intentionally break, lie, distort, sensationalize offend my very essence.”
The songstress and songwriter also implored her fans to not allow trolls to get to them but to rather be kind to them. She used former music exec, Nota Baloyi; influencer, Chris Excel; and celeb basher, Musa Khawula as examples.
“Make them null and void. We need compassion and care and patience for each other. Things are getting worse.”
In conclusion, she said her goodbyes and told her fans she will honor books until March and all the details will be made available on Patreon.
The tremors that make our society sick, hit the supple hearted first. We seem weird, sensitive, sentimental, expressive even when it’s scary. Art comes out of our pores to purge the sores we are all living in. The songs wake me up at night.
