Moses Tembe slams rumors of killing AKA
Moses Tembe releases a statement against claims that he and his family are involved in the assassination of AKA whose real name is Kiernan Forbes.
The rapper was murdered in Durban, which is where the businessman and his family reside.
Following the death of Kiernan, some social media users stated that the Tembe family avenged their daughter Anele Nelli Tembe’s death.
The young lady who was dating AKA died in 2021 after allegedly jumping off the hotel where she lodged with the rapper.
Moses slammed claims that her daughter was suicidal but the late Kiernan suggested that she attempted to jump off a building several times.
Reacting to claims of being involved in the killing of the Lemons (Lemonade) hitmaker, Moses Tembe issued a statement saying his family knows nothing about the “senseless” crime.
“It is with grave concern that my family and I have had to endure a flurry of posts on various social media platforms that accuse me and the members of my family of being involved in the death of Kiernan “AKA’ Forbes. These accusations are untrue and without substance”
“I categorically state that my family feels the pain of the Forbes family and would never be involved in an abhorrent act of this nature.”
“While I value the principle of freedom of speech, these cruel and libelous utterances inflict personal and emotional harm on us.”
“After having to deal with the tragedy of the untimely passing of our daughter, this senseless crime has taken a further toll on us.”
“I respectfully request the individuals making these baseless statements to refrain from doing so,” he concluded the statement.
