Miss Rwanda 2016, Mutesi Jolly Nyampinga recounts how she escaped being scammed by Thabo Bester and his alleged partner, Dr Nandipha Magudumana.

Taking to Instagram, Jolly shared evidence and narrated how the convicted rapist and murderer offered her a lucrative international TV presenting deal to be produced Netflix.

However, she rejected the offer after carrying out proper research on the company that offered her the deal.

“So last year, I received an invitation to go to S.A as a possible candidate to host a Netflix show alongside Kylie J & Drake. I asked why me. and I was told they needed an East African face of a certain physical stature and fluent that could blend so well with the American duo, fit the luxurious show and give it life. And from their online observation of me, “I was a great contender,” she kicked off her narration.

“As a proud Rwandan, I was knocked off my feet. However, it was too good to be true. My instincts told me to look through it with a fine toothcomb. I requested the company profile, official invitation, and hotel booking, and presented it to authorities to seek advice and help to know how legit it was. The due diligence was done and I was advised not to go bcz every finding about the company and owners was screaming scam. Last week in the media, I read about the most wanted criminals in South Africa & it was the people I was speaking to. Thanks @rwandainsa and @rwandagovt for guiding me and for Saving my life,” she concluded her narration.

Jolly further warned young talents and stars not to fall victim to such scams.
