Emtee is stuck in a legal case after his estranged wife arrested him over alleged domestic violence.
Sunday World revealed that the award-winning rapper’s lawyers have submitted representations to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) requesting it not to criminally prosecute Emtee for allegedly assaulting Nicole Kendall Chinsamy, who was seven-months pregnant at the time of the alleged attack.
“It appears there was a delay because the presentation of the representations will be made further on Tuesday,” said the tipster.
The source added that Emtee also asked for mediation between him and Chinsamy, with the hope of finding an amicable solution instead of going on trial.
Mediation is a process by which a mediator assists the parties in a legal dispute by, among others, facilitating discussions between them and assisting them to identify issues and exploring areas of compromise.
“In fact, mediation talks were supposed to have also taken place on April 25 but I’m not sure if they happened or they are still going to happen,” said the source.
