Makhadzi affirms on national TV that the conflict between her and Open Mic Productions isn’t over.
On Saturday morning, the singer revealed how the label renewed her contract for another 3 years without her consent.
The Limpopo-born star says she’s been enslaved and treated unfairly.
She spoke about how she didn’t get a cent from all her successful projects.
“I signed with open mic only for three years. In these three years, I dropped 4 albums. I have never received any cent of my sales. Some of my albums reached platinum some gold. And a lot of hit songs that reached platinum and Gold. But I continue to work without complaining,” she wrote.
“And how positive is that to renew my contract without sitting down with me? And how about my money for my album cz you have never been sent any cent, how possible is that for you to renew my contract without coming to me, what if I am not happy working with you.”
Following he win at the Metro Fm Awards 2023, for the Best Female Artist category, the singer said in an interview with Somizi that the record label should pay her money.
