Actor Dumisani Dlamini reveals how it feels being the father of an international star, Doja Cat.
The American star’s real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini; she was born and raised in Los Angeles.
Speaking in a recent interview, the actor with 3 decades of experience in the South African entertainment industry says she’s not surprised by his daughter’s status, as talent is in the blood.
“I’m so proud of her for what she has achieved. I’m not surprised, because it’s in the blood. In fact, all my kids are very talented. I think South Africa as a whole should be proud of such great talent coming from us,” he told ZiMoja.
Dumi has played iconic roles like Dlakadla on The Wife, Showmax’s most popular series; Chester in the classic series Yizo Yizo; Crocodile in Sarafina!, Mbodla in Isibaya and Celemba in the hit drama series eHostela ,a performance which earned him a SAFTA nomination.
