K.O reacts to news of Hip Hop not peaking, even at the international level.

Over the years, SA hip hop struggled on charts as it was swept off by Amapiano’s huge movement.

However, it’s been a different story within the past couple of months as rappers like K.O, Nasty C, Emtee, and the late AKA kept the fire of rap music.

Mr CashTime got triggered by a US report that reads, “No Hip Hop album or song has hit no 1 in 2023.”

The news left the rap star sad and revealed that the worst is yet to come.

“A trickle down effect sadly. Already been tough for mainstream hiphop in SA and clearly the worst is yet to come seeing this is the current state in US hiphop. SA rappers oughta adapt or get left,” he wrote.

However, most of his followers think otherwise, as they defended their thoughts with the claim that rappers like Drake are yet to drop any album this year, hence it is understandable if no rap music tops the chart.
