Makhadzi to perform for free

Makhadzi will reportedly perform for free at The Exclusive White Spring Picnic to be held on 2 September at the Dries Niemandt Park in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni.

According to ZiMoja, the Ma Gear hitmaker will be settling a debt of R80 000 with a free performance.

The singer was a no-show at the White Lifestyle gig at Kempton Park on April 30 after being paid R80 000 by the organisers of the event.

The organisers took Makhadzi to court but she claimed she won’t be able to pay back due to personal challenges.

“After she got the letter of demand from organisers, she told them that she won’t be able to pay as things are not looking good for her financially at the moment,” a source told the publication

The singer jumped at the idea of performing for free to settle her debt, but the organisers say she won’t be added to the poster in other to avoid being disappointed again.

Meanwhile, the Ghanama hitmaker will commit herself by making a legal promise to be at the event and perform for free.

Other artists to perform at the forthcoming gig include the likes of fan favourite, Somizi, gospel artist Lebo Sekgobela, Mafikizolo, Afro Pop star Ringo Madlingozi, Boohle, Busiswa, DJ Tira, T-Bose, DJ Kent, Lerato Kganyago and Dladla Mshunqisi, amongst others.
