Khanyisa Janceni has been announced as the EQUAL Africa ambassador by Spotify.
The Amapiano vocalist is elated about the opportunity given her as it proves that her contribution to the Amapiano movement is evident.
“What a time to be alive! So Spotify has chosen me as their #EQUALAfrica ambassador! What an honour as an AmaPiano artist I feel like I’m part of the movement where Piano is taken to the World,” she wrote.
It’s been a season of excitement and congratulations for Khanyisa as she showed off her new Mercedes Benz before the Spotify news.
Spotify’s head of music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Phiona Okumu said: “Her musical versatility, empowering message, and her sheer talent truly embody the essence of the Spotify EQUAL programme.”
Reacting to the title placed on her, the singer said, “Facing the challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated industry demanded years of determination. From fear to intimidation, I’ve become courageous stepping out of my comfort zone.”
