Johannesburg residents woke up to a snowy Monday and social media is flooded with clips of the snowfall.
It’s a mixed feeling for some South African citizens as some people are excited, while others are shocked to see the snow.
However, provinces that are hit by snow are advised by the Eastern Cape transport department to be careful.
“Several incidents of vehicles skidding off the road due to snow have been reported. A taxi at the Penhoek pass while a bus has suffered the same fate at the Lootsberg Pass on the N9 between Graaff-Reinet and Middelburg,” the department said on Monday.
