Pearl Thusi expresses gratitude to be on the Disneyplus series, Kizazi Moto: Generations Fire.
The series stars other South African talents including Nasty C and Candice Modiselle.
Taking to Instagram, the veteran actress says she’s honoured, and she says it’s a blessing to be one of the voice cast.
“What a privilege… What an honour… What a blessing… To be part of the first collection of Disney animations on the African continent. Imagine, me, a Disney hun,” she wrote.
“Thank you to my fav Lesego @hiddenhandstudios – our director for your hard work and talent putting this together and having me be a part of it. Thank you to the entire @disneyplus & @disneyplusza for your vision and belief in African talent and stories. Thank you. This include all the animators as apparently there are too many of you to mention.”
“My fellow actors – we never got to read together but you could never tell! We sincerely hope you love and enjoy this labour of love. Stories of hope and inspiration untainted with the shadow of colonialism. A free and diverse world of the African imagination,” she concluded her note.
