Jub Jub in court after rape, assault and attempted murder case was opened against him by a popular celebrity
Jub Jub whose real name is Molemo Katleho Maarohanye appeared in court for rape, attempted murder, and assault charges.
According to Sunday World, the TV personality handed himself over to the police in Brixton on Thursday after a warrant of arrest was issued against him.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo confirmed that the case is scheduled for Thursday in the Johannesburg magistrate’s court.
“Police can confirm that a well-known rapper handed himself over to the police in Brixton on Thursday, 27 July 2023, after a warrant of arrest was issued against him,” he said.
“He is expected to appear before the Johannesburg magistrate’s court today facing charges of rape, attempted murder and assault,”
“The matter has been under investigation and after the docket was taken to the NPA for a decision, a decision was taken that the suspect needed to be arrested,” said a police officer whose identity wasn’t disclosed.
“After getting a tip-off that he was wanted by the police, he decided to hand himself in.
“After police were satisfied that there was a strong case against the suspect, the NPA took a decision to prosecute.”
This isn’t the face time Jub Jub s facing the law, as he spent years in prison after killing four children while driving under the influence.
