Jub Jub granted bail after being arrested for rape, attempted murder

Jub Jub has been granted R10,000 bail in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

The rapper appeared in court over rape, attempted murder, and assault charges.


He was ordered to hand over his passport within 48 hours.

It was reported that his ex-girlfriend, Amanda du-Pont was the one who opened the case against the Uyajola 9/9 host.

“Police can confirm that a well-known rapper handed himself over to the police in Brixton on Thursday, 27 July 2023, after a warrant of arrest was issued against him,” Gauteng police spokesperson Lt-Col Mavela Masondo in a statement issued to media.

In 2021, Amanda opened up about being raped by Jub; Masechaba Khumalo also revealed she suffered the same fate in the hands of the TV personality.

Jub Jub trends on social media as people recount his ill past which landed him in prison for years.
