J’Something dropped a song titled, Not Alone a few days ago.
The Mi Casa member goes solo with the new drop without exiting the musical group.
In introducing the song, he penned a brief story of how he started making music at a young age.
“When I was 7 I picked up a guitar. When I was 15 I went to church for the first time and a prophet told me “God wanted to use me through music.” I had no idea what that meant but I called my mother on my way back to hostel and told “God says you gotta get me a guitar!”. I arrived in Johannesburg when I was 21 with THAT guitar and a suitcase with the ambition of finding a job,” he wrote.
“So much has happened in my one life. Today is one of the most special days for me personally as an artist but also as a human being. This song is one I’ve been listening to for years already and today I let go of it … I pass it on … that’s what being a musician is about. The gift is hearing it all and the responsibility is to let it go to others … I hope you receive it with love and that it makes you feel NOT ALONE,” he wrote.
