Shimza at Burning Man 2023
Shimza shares his experience at the Burning Man 2023.
The South African DJ whose real name is Ashley Raphala performed at the annual event.
Zakes Bantwini who is also a South African DJ played at the show; the two men jointly performed there aside from their solo performance.
Taking to Instagram, Shimza claimed the show was fun-filled and he looks forward to next year, despite being hit by a storm.
He also apologized to the event organizers whom he disappointed, as he was stuck at the venue to the storm.
“#BurningMan2023 before and after the storm hit us! What an experience! I wouldn’t change anything about the week I had, @burningman is all about community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance and this week bodied exactly that! Sending love to everyone that’s still there #BurningMan See you again next year ♥️ @maxacamp was my home! The best camp ever! I missed some shows this past weekend and it’s coz I was stuck on the playa with no way to get out, apologies to the event organisers and everyone who was looking forward to seeing me, will definitely try find a way to make it up,” he wrote.
