Mr Brown not coming to SA

Mr Brown says he will not be coming back to South Africa after he got deported in May 2023.

The music producer is famous in the Mzansi music industry as he’s worked with various artists including Makhadzi and Kabza De Small.

In May, it was reported that he was sent back home to Zimbabwe by Home Affairs after refusal to renew his work permit.

“It’s not a big deal, really. I overstayed for a month. I was supposed to renew my work permit but didn’t get a chance. I was staying in SA legally, I even have a wife and a child on the way,” he says.

“I went out to Botswana then on my way back I was stopped. I was alone. My only issue was that the label was supposed to help me to sort the matter in three days but they said it was too costly to pay my lawyer and I was sent back home,” he adds.

“I overstayed and I was then supposed to appeal but I didn’t and that is how I was refused entry back to South Africa,” he says. “I can come back if I want to anytime, but I am still good here. I am just worried about my wife, who is giving birth this month.”

Mr Brown and Innocent Mzimela, known as TyraQeed are working on a Ghodoba but the producer’s inability to come to SA has ruined plans for the music video.

ZiMoja reported that the Zimbabwe star says he is done with Mzansi.

The publication reached out to him and in response he made it cleat that he “has no plans of coming to SA at the moment.”
