Dr Nandipha graduated with three degrees as a doctor
Nandipha Magudumana opened up about her medical career in an interview on Mac G’s Podcast and Chill.
In 2022, the doctor graced the platform and narrated how she bagged three degrees.
Dr Nandipha says she’s always wanted to be a doctor since when she was as young as 6-year-old and she pursued the dream which became a reality.
“I was 6 years old when I told my father that I want to be a doctor. I spent most of my school career working towards getting into medical school. In high school, I started working at a pharmacy at 16… There was also a hospital next to my school, I will take time and do community service there to get into medical school. I completed my Bachelor of Health Sciences and Biomedical Sciences… I majored in pharmacology and medical sciences,” she said.
“I furthered my studies and did an MBBCH, after that, I worked as a junior intern.”
All these degrees took her 7 years and an extra 3 years to work and train as a junior doctor.

The video of the interview resurfaced on social media this Wednesday hours after she collapsed in the police holding cell.
In April 2023, Dr Nandipha Magudumana was arrested in Tanzania alongside her fugitive boyfriend, Thabo Bester who escaped prison in 2022 after faking his death.
Magudumana has been charged with fraud, defeating the ends of justice, violating a body, and aiding and abetting an inmate to escape from lawful custody, corruption and arson.
