Sho Madjozi weighs in on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.
Taking to Twitter, the South African star slammed the US for supporting Israel.
“This Israeli Palestinian conflict is fully exposing the US for all of us to see. This will be the exact moment historians will refer to as the final end of America as a global superpower. From now on the US can no longer use their usual lies that they’re interested in sovereignty or any such higher ideal. From now on they are going to have to just call it what it is, they want to sell arms and get oil. Full stop,” she wrote.
“Many of us have known this for years but their shameless support of the Israeli military right now is exposing them to a point that I hope they can never return from. It is disgusting and I don’t know why it shocked me. This is the same America that was continuing to supply arms to Apartheid South Africa up until the late seventies,” she added.
“I feel devastated on behalf of Palestinians who are not only being killed en masse, but who when talking about their oppression must first acknowledge the pain of their oppressors.”
“But it is the kind of brainwashing you have to do to get good people to do horrible things on your behalf, so I do sympathise with them. They are on the wrong side of history.”
She concluded with a note to the people of America.
“To sensible and good American people, please please do not let your government get away with this. Your dissent can make all the difference. It made a huge difference for us as South Africans.
