Lele Ledwaba fights for her bullied son

The young boy attends a prominent school in Joburg, and he was allegedly kicked, punched, and pushed around by another learner.

According to Sunday World, the mother has taken her son to therapy as the incident that happened three weeks ago has caused the 10-year-old emotional and psychological trauma.

However, King Edward VII Preparatory School is said to have not taken any action against the preparatory as the incident was not classified bullying since it happened once.

Ledwaba sent emails to the school in other to get justice for her traumatised son.

“It has come to my attention that my son was subjected to a violent bullying incident while on school grounds. To say that I am outraged and appalled by this situation would be a gross understatement,” reads the email.

“It is absolutely unacceptable for any child to experience such brutality while under the supposed care and supervision of your school.”

“I want to emphasise that I hold King Edward VII Preparatory School responsible for the safety and security of my child while he is in your care.”

“It is your duty to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all students, and failure to do so is a grave breach of trust.”
