The South African music industry is currently witnessing the rise of more female DJs, but a majority of these upcoming artists are being dragged and shamed on social media.
DJs like Ms Cosmo, DJ Zinhle, and Lamiez Holworthy have long existed in the game, hence aren’t talking about them in this article.
Our focus is on some of the new and fast-rising DJs who have adopted Uncle Waffles-inspired fashion and dancing into their DJing career.
These women have been slut shamed due to their mode of dressing to gigs; they also get dragged for serving raunchy dance moves.
There are new female DJs who are vert much new in the game and have also adopted the signatures of these women who have been slut shamed.
