Barack Obama proves to be a fan of South African music as he made it evident on his Favourite Music list of 2023.
The Grammy-nominated singer Tyla shines on the list for her hit song, Water.
“Here are some of my favorite songs from this year. Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out,” the former US president captioned his list of over 20 songs.
Tyla expressed excitement as it’s always been a dream for her to feature on the list.
“Always wanted to be on this list,” she wrote.
Amapiano genre was fully represented on the list as the hit yano songs by Nigerian artists, Davido and Asake were on the list – Unavailable and Amapiano respectively.
Musa Keys who featured on the Davido track also expressed excitement, as it is a win for him also.
