Rapper Jolly B to return to SA permanently

Rapper Jolly B announces plans to move back to South Africa after almost twenty years in the UK.

The 26-year-old, real name Kabelo Monyebudi was born in Mamelodi, Pretoria, he moved to the UK in 2006 with his family.

Taking to his Instagram, Jolly B opened up about his 2024 decision.


“I know I’ve been quiet, but I have a lot of things to think about and I made a decision lately that this year, I’m going to move back to South Africa for good just to get peace of mind and be system-free, and it’s cool with me to start again,” he wrote.

“I’m going to finish my album and head home … but this is a final decision. It’s been hard to make [it] but I promise, I’m coming home for good, but it’s been a hard choice. I just want to be system-free. I hate feeling free and still feel like a prisoner to the system.”

In November 2022, Jolly B opened up about his challenges, but said he won’t give up.

“Immigration stooping my bag but they can’t stop my music making noise 🔊 the shows I turned down this whole year due to me being on bail if I did attend my fans this whole year since I turned a public figure I should be a self made independent millionaire ka ranta 🇿🇦regardless imma still be one it’s a temporary issue and issues always can be resolved if you have faith in a bit of patience & it certainly don’t last forever and they can’t keep a good man down,” he wrote.

“This Shits Painful and depressing when u turned nothing to some thing and I can’t even express the feeling and enjoyment of being a superstar but I’m still yet to witness it and share my talent with all my supporters who believe in me and I’m still pending on route out of this mess and can’t wait to enjoy my success and creativity i Brang bridging two different country languages 🗣 and cultures 🇿🇦🇬🇧 My original🩸surname is Radebe 🇿🇦 I’m a big mthimkhulu We are Pain Built❤️minor set back for a major come back ✌️Someone Tell @cyrilramaphosa uyoungman needs his help,” he added.
