Trevor Noah is the first black to win the Emmy Award’s Outstanding Talk Series category
Trevor Noah expresses excitement after winning an Emmy award in the Outstanding Talk Series category for The Daily Show.
People across the globe celebrated the South African star for making history as the first black to win the category.
Taking to his social media account, the comedian shared more photos and appreciated The Daily Show team.
“Thank you to the entire team! Every single person who brought their magic. We did it @thedailyshow!” he wrote.
He also said it is an honour to make history.
“What an honour it is to make this kind of history on MLK day!!”
Trevor shared a video of himself accepting the international win.
“Soooo… this happened. 🤯 What a night last night! Big congrats again to the entire @thedailyshow team! 🎉 Thank you @televisionacad for this absolute honour!
