SA musicians who need to step up their game in 2024

on

The first month of 2024, January is about to come to an end, yet we have some musicians who have yet to step up their games.

The previous year was undoubtedly great for the Mzansi music industry, especially the Amapiano and House Music genres, but a few were not included in this greatness.

While some were on a hiatus, others decided to stay lowkey without a tangible reason.

Below are South African Musicians who need to step up their game in 2024.

1. Zanda Zakuza

Zanda is one of Mzansi’s hottest vocalists, but she’s been dethroned by many other vocalists in the industry due to her sudden silence. From taking a social media break to also not dropping any song. In December 2023, the singer broke her silence by revealing some of her challenges, including mental health. However, she promises to make a big return this year.

2. Uncle Vinny

We know Uncle Vinny is not broke as he has been MCing shows and attended gigs with the Major League DJz, however he is yet to deliver a hit since the launch of his music career. Vinny dropped an EP and he’s also cooking this year, but it seems he is doing all the work, but yet to be recognised. He could maybe work on promoting his songs and stay more focused on releasing good music.

3. Prince Kaybee

Kaybee has remained consistent with the release of an album every year. However, enough with the remixes of songs, he needs to re-strategies and step up his game.

4. Sir Trill

We’re glad Sir Trill has finally found a path for himself after months of battling being extorted. Hopefully, he delivers as he did some years back.

5. Pabi Cooper

Pabi has gone from delivering her annual hit songs to being a PA to Focalistic. We see more of her with Focalistic than her singles. Cooper is sleeping on herself if she allows her relationship and other businesses to drown her music career.

6. Tipcee

Tipcee dropped a few songs in the previous year, but her music career was blatantly unstable as she was reportedly broke at some points. However, she’s yet to address her fans over her challenges. Hopefully she finds her feet and do better in the new year.
