Have you ever thought that the way your taste buds love chocolate, there is a probability that your skin might love this indulgence too?


According to beauty experts, chocolate contains ‘Flavonols’ (a type of flavonoid) that helps skin look its best.

Flavonols are the antioxidants that help protect the skin from UV damage, fight free radicals and also increase blood flow. They also improve skin hydration and thickness.

Try these simple and effective face masks that can be easily made at home with chocolate.

1. Face mask for oily skin

Take 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (unsweetened) and mix it with a pinch of cinnamon and 1 tablespoon honey. Mix them all together and apply twice a week for 15-20 minutes.

2. Dark chocolate face mask

All you need is 2 bars of dark chocolate (melted), 2.3 cups raw milk, 1 teaspoon sea salt and 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Mix well and apply twice a week for 15 minutes.

3. Clay and chocolate face mask

Take 1.4 cup cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons clay, 1 tablespoon yogurt, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and ½ teaspoon coconut oil. Mix them to form a thick paste and use once a week for 10 minutes.

4. Chocolate and cream face mask

For this, mix 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon fresh cream together and apply once a week for 10 minutes for smooth and glowing facial skin.

5. Toning chocolate face mask

Mix 30 gms melted chocolate, 1 mashed banana, 1 cup strawberry and 1 cup watermelon. Apply this mixture on your face and neck area for at least 20 minutes once a week.

6. Chocolate peel off mask

For this peel off mask, you need to mix ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, ¼ cup honey, and 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Make sure that the consistency of the paste is thick. Apple once a week, gently peel off and rinse with lukewarm water.

7. Chocolate mask for dull skin

Take a deep mixing bowl and mix 4 tablespoons cocoa powder (unsweetened), 4 tablespoons coffee powder, 4 tablespoons coconut milk and 2 tablespoons coconut milk. Mix them together and apply once a week for 15 minutes for desired results.

8. Oatmeal and chocolate pack for dry skin

Mix ½ cup cocoa powder, 3 tablespoons oatmeal, 1 teaspoon heavy cream and honey in a deep bowl. Apply the paste on face and neck area for 15 minutes once a week.
