Ayra Starr not performing in South Africa again
Ayra Starr’s shows in South Africa have been cancelled.
Weeks ago, the Nigerian star excitedly announced her shows which ought to take place in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
However, a few days before the shows, a statement about the cancellation of the shows was released on social media.
The show was cancelled because of visa denial of the singer and her team.
“We regret to announce the cancellation of both ‘In the City Ayra Starr’ Shows scheduled to take place in Joburg and Cape Town, South Africa on 16 and 17 February 2024. Regrettably, as has happened numerous times with other artists from West Africa – through no fault of their own, visas were denied. All ticket holders will be fully refunded within 7 working days. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the upcoming shows,” reads the press release.
People expressed their disappointment in the comment.
“Obviously so disappointing, but we look forward to putting on so many exciting shows throughout the year! Thanks to everyone for being so understanding. Onward & upward,” Kim Jayde wrote.
“What Visa South African never,” Lady Du wrote.
