South African music star Nomcebo Zikode pays tribute to the legendary actor John Okafor, famously known as Mr Ibu.
The Nigerian veteran actor passed away at the age of 62 on Saturday in a private hospital in Lagos, Nigeria.
The comedian battled a long-term and life-threatening illness for years. Before his passing, the actor’s leg was amputated after 7 surgeries done on his leg.
Nigerians and lovers of Mr Ibu’s talent flood social media with tribute to the late star.
Nomcebo dedicated a post to the late legend.
“What a sad day for many of us who grew up enjoying Mr Ibu’s comedy movies, we have lost a legend 💔😭 condolences to Mr Ibu’s family, colleagues and the industry as a whole may God be with us all in these trying times,” the South African singer wrote.
