Bloating is caused when there is excessive wind in the stomach, which is mostly caused by eating food that is difficult to digest. Some foods can create more gas in the intestine than others.
Feeling of bloatedness is not a very pleasant one. But when we feel bloated, we often blame all the fried foods that we ate.
But in some cases, your veggies might be the culprit behind the gastric issues you are facing.
Yes, you read that right. Some vegetables are difficult to digest and thus can cause gas.
Here is a list of five such vegetables.
1. Jack fruit
Jack fruit is considered the non-veg of vegetarians. This is because the asparagus curry looks like non-veg curry, in fact, some even say that the texture is also the same. The vegetable is full of nutrients but not a good choice for people who have gastric issues. The vegetable increases the production of gas in the body.
2. Taro root
It is prepared dry as well as with curry. The vegetable is tasty and goes well but people suffering from gastric issues should not consume it, as it can cause bloatedness. If you like it too much, you can put some ajwain while preparing, which will not cause gas.
3. Radish
If you like having radish or you like it in the salad, have it in limited quantity. You can also have some ajwain with water or pudina leaves with black salt, to combat the gas caused by eating radish.
4. White chickpea
People who have constipation should especially not have white chickpea or have it only in limited quantity.
