Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye’s case has been postponed again for representations to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The musician appeared briefly at the Johannesburg Magistrate Court, accompanied by his two uncles, cousin and two bouncers.

Jub’s defence, Advocate Terrence Baloyi requested for a postponement: “Your worship we have asked for a postponement, from here, we will go straight to the DPP to submit our representations. We would ask for the next date to be in April.”

State Prosecutor Agnes Bezuidenhout granted the request.

“I have indicated to the defence that we have given them all the information that we could, and he said they will request for a further postponement. As the state, we are not opposing to that, however, the investigation to this matter has been completed a long time ago, the defence has been provided with an annexure to the charges, “she said.

Jub Jub is facing an array of charges ranging from multiple counts of rape, indecent assault, assault with an intention to cause grievous bodily harm and several counts of kidnapping.
