Babes Wodumo and dancers attack designer
Babes Wodumo, real name Bongekile Simelane allegedly assaulted a costume designer after failing to pay for her dancers’ costumes.
Maphepha Ndaba shared a video of a confrontation that happened between the Gqom singer and designer.
“Babes Wodumo Dancers, Smiso Zulu, and Sanele Smallz came to my shop, Sk’Dee Designs, to hire a few items to wear at the IFP Manifesto in Hammersdale but they initially wanted them for FREE. They did not have money as they only left R150 after my persistence and there were 2 of them so even that amount wasn’t enough,” the designer revealed.
“Our agreement was for them to bring back the items the next day but until today, they haven’t bought them back. They have been wearing my items ever since, knowing very well they did not pay for them.”
The designer has asked them to return the items, but they refused.
“I want them to bring back my items as I had told them they will owe me R550 in total, if they wanted the items, however, ONLY after they bring them back to the store and I will release them once they are paid for. They still haven’t paid that amount either and I can’t resell those items anymore so already for me that’s a HUGE LOSS.”
It was further revealed that the singer attacked the designer and made threats.
“So, Babes Wodumo and her entourage decided to come to my work place, Sk’Dee Designs to attack me after I exposed her dancers. Babes came very drunk with her dancers and assaulted me and her bouncer also assaulted my business partner, Descreet Wear.”
“They also threatened to shoot us. So, if anything happens to either of us, it will be by thier hands.”
