Jackie Phamotse trends on social media after being sentenced to house arrest for defaming Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo years ago.
Phamotse has been placed under house arrest for two years for her crimes and given a fine of R30,000 or 10 months in prison.
She’ll also have to do 16 hours of community service a month and participate in various programmes.
In her judgment, Magistrate S Naidoo, found Phamotse had shown no remorse but believed imprisonment would not be appropriate.
Social media users reacted to the news, with a majority excited about the outcome in court.
“Jackie Phamotse deserves what’s coming to her.She is arrongant, with a know it all attitude. She acts as if she is the Empress of South Africa, thinking that she is in charge of people’s lives. This angry feminist is a problem in South Africa,” a tweep wrote.
Jackie Phamotse as a retired baddie, really thought defaming People would help her regain her dignity 😭.
It took her directly to the mud, where she belongs for now.
