Newly formed MK party which is led by the former ANC member Jacob Zuma denies using Lira photos to chase clout ahead of the general election.
According to The South African publication, the party says they never created the poster and are not desperate for fame and clout. They did however add that Lira is welcome to join the party and that they love her music.
On Wednesday, Lira slammed the party for using her photo to garner support from the public.
“I wish to confirm that I have no affiliation with MK Party. I have not endorsed them or become an MKP member. Any information to the contrary is fake news and I am exploring my legal options about the unlawful use of my image and name,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
