Gogo Skhotheni is still a healer

Gogo Skhotheni opens up about her new journey before and after giving her life to God.

Speaking to TshishaLIVE, she spoke about her new song and accepting God into her life.

“This song does not only dedicate you to God, it also speaks about relationships, as I was facing a lot in relationships. I chose to accept God more than anything,” she said.

The DJ also spoke about her experience as a traditional healer.

“This journey of ubungoma, you end up doing witchcraft and other things … so I think it’s one of the darkest journeys I’ve been on as a healer myself. I had to differentiate between being a healer and being a witch — being a healer is what I chose and it goes along with God. I am a sangoma who believes in God and puts God in everything I do. I love God and he loves me too.”

Gogo Skhotheni opens up about her son who has spent two years in the hospital.

“I’ve been on a very dark journey with myself, questioning a lot of things that were happening, especially with my son’s condition, my son being sick. My relationship with my husband was tempted a lot. We nearly filed for divorce but God carried us through it. It hasn’t been easy.

“I’ve given my life to God before but obviously as a child of God there are certain things which I shouldn’t have done, but I did. So I eventually had to rebuild my relationship with God because I saw his mercy upon my life. I’m not going to stop being a healer.”
