Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye was at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court today for the rape and attempted murder charges he is accused of.
According to Zimoja, the rapper requested that his bail conditions be relaxed.
The musician and TV host is facing 13 charges including rape, indecent assault, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and kidnapping.
Speaking about the investigation, theState Prosecutor Agnes Bezuidenhout said: “I have indicated to the defence that we have given them all the information that we could, and he said they will request for a further postponement. As the state we are not opposing that, however, the investigation to this matter has been completed a long time ago. The defence has been provided with an annexure to the charges.”
The magistrate presiding over the matter Betty Khumalo said,” Mr Maarohanye your matter has been remanded for the purposes of your bail conditions to be relaxed on the 25th of April, however, I’m reserving the 13th of June for the outcomes of the Director of Public Prosecutions.”
