Comedian Sandile “Flymotion” Makhanya has started a podcast called The Basement.

The former Gagasi FM Presenter said he launched a podcast in other to give people a voice to express themselves.

“What led me to do the podcast is KwaZulu-Natal artists don’t have a prominent platform, everything is done in Johannesburg, so I want to break that and give other people a voice to express themselves in this podcast. It’s soon going to be the biggest watched podcast in the province,” he said.

“It’s going to be my personal views about any issues around our daily lives, politics, social issues, creative industry, promoting local talent and celebrity interviews”, he added.

Speaking to TshishaLIVE about his contract with Gagasi Fm that was not renewed, the comedian said: “I’m not bitter but I had a bad experience on radio, so I’m doing this because of that bad experience,” he said.

“I work with Movies Media Studios in The Sails, Durban Point. They are supporting my dream. We are just starting and challenges are everywhere in every business but we overcome them. We  welcome anyone who’s got something to say or to promote. I’m the host.”
