L’vovo Derrango will not allow new and rising artists to change history which he wrote alongside Zakes Bantwini years ago.

The Durban music community expresses concern about L’vovo’s behaviour, especially to other artists and promoters.

The legend is said to be harassing other artists, demanding respect from them, and claiming that he solely put Durban on the international map.

Sources opened up to Zimoja about the troubling issue.

“We don’t know what got into grootman to be telling us he is the only one who paved the way for us,” an artist revealed.

“There is a better way of addressing his concerns or issues than lashing out at people,” another source said.

A promoter suggests that the musician takes a break to fully recover.

“We understand it’s frustrating that he has not fully recovered but how are we going to help him if he is angry?” the promoter asked.

“He still has a long way – maybe he should also focus on healing emotionally if that is the case,”

L’vovo shuts down the reports and insisted when being interviewed by Zimoja that he changed the game.

“No one can just come here and try and change the history- Zakes and I changed the game of Durban kwaito music. Period,” he said.
