Sabelo Zuma has been ordered to refund the money paid for him to perform at the Youth Day celebration.
The Amapiano musician was paid to perform at The Village and Pub Grill in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga, but he was a no-show.
A source revealed to Zimoja that the former Amaroto member gave a lame excuse after receiving full payment for the show.
“He first told the organiser after receiving his deposit that he needed the full payment for travelling from his previous gig. He then received the money, then he said he was having car issues and made up a lot of lame excuses that were contradictory,” source said.
“He kept telling the organisers that he was on the way. They believed him and trusted him as they had worked with him before. He told the organisers around 8pm that he was on the way but the venue ended up closing around 2am, without communicating whether he would not make it or not.”
Zuma’s team explained that the matter was beyond their control, but they will speak with the organisers of the event and get things resolved.
