DJ Lag, real name Lwazi Asanda Gwala has been awarded a plaque for the success of his musical work.
The Gqom pioneer was given the plaque during his new album launch which is titled Rebellion.
Speaking to TshishaLIVE, the DJ said he is excited with how his new album was embraced by a majority and he promises to drop more musical projects that has the Amapiano and Gqom combination.
“I didn’t expect it to do this well since it was my first time trying to fuse gqom and amapiano. It worked, so I am going to make more songs for my next EP in November or December. On the Hade Boss single I worked with K.C Driller, DJ Maphorisa, Kamo Mphela, Robot Boii, 2 Short, Da Man, Nova Boy and Charlie Magandi,” he said.
Taking to his Instagram account, Lag showed off the plaque and expressed gratitude for the support.
