Unathi Nkayi is over the moon following collaboration with the legendary STIMELA band.
Taking to social media the South African presenter and singer shared photos of herself with the band.
“Today I had the honour of recording with the legendary STIMELA for their forth coming project. As I left Down Town Studios I called my dad in tears and emotional about this incredible experience and needless to say (because it is his favourite band) he was excited and stressed that they NEED to print CDs and vinyls for his generation,” she wrote.
“I then called uBaby in disbelief and expressed how mind-blowing it was…..I found myself saying ‘But my love WHY ME?’ His rhetoric was ‘For that exact reason because it IS YOU! Why not you?’ When I told my lil humans in the car after picking them up after studio they said ‘Yho Tamkhulu always plays them mom so he’s going to be so proud.”
“Growing up as a foreigner in foreign lands, they were always part of our soundtrack that reminded us of home. Honoured is an understatement! IXILONGO our song is BEAUTIFUL! It will be out THIS SPRING!!!!”
