Akon says Costa Titch had an album before his passing

Akon remembers the late South African artist Costa Titch in a recent interview with Mac G and Sol Phenduka on Podcast and Chill.

Costantinos Tsobanoglou, famously known as Costa Titch passed away shortly after signing with Akon’s record label.


The two dropped the remix of his Amapiano hit song, Big Flexa.

The American rapper who called the young artist a game-changer reflected on the life of the deceased.

“When you looked at how he performed, the way he danced, you couldn’t tell me that Costa was not an African,” Akon said during the interview.

Akon emphasized the late rapper’s potential to shape the future of music and culture in Africa. He highlighted Costa Titch’s unique talent and significant impact on the industry, noting that Costa was one of the first artists from South Africa signed to his record label, Konvict Kulture. Akon revealed that Costa had a “recorded album ready to go,” underscoring the rapper’s dedication and creative output before his passing,” Bona Mag wrote.

Speaking about the album, Akon said he would love to preserve Costa’s legacy, but his mother is the only one to give a go ahead about the release of the project.
