Makhadzi in Limpopo
South African music star Makhadzi was given a heroic welcome at her homecoming celebration in Limpopo.
The event was hosted by the newly-appointed premier of Limpopo Dr Phophi Ramathuba following the singer’s big win at the BET Awards 2024.
Taking to social media, Makhadzi shared photos from the event and expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.
“I am stiil smiling till today. What happened in Limpopo from Thursday with our Premier DR PHOPHI RAMATHUBA , it was emotional and happy celebration. I realy appreciate the effort and time you cteated to put a smile on my face, you made it possible to go meet my fans i the dusty streets of hamashaba and others sarounding ereas,” she wrote.
The singer reflected on how she began at her town, and now she’s gone global.
“This video was taken infront of boxer where it all started . I use to sell CD infront of Thohoyandou boxer, my fans were happy to see me holding a BET AWARD 🥇. I now believe we have many super stars coming to represent us as a country after touching this . They all know it started from the dusty streets of hamashamba tshivhangani to the BET.”
